THE MODEL WOMAN
HIGH OR DIE
This comedic, high fashion, historical biopic follows the life and work of Walt Disney's first female Imagineer, Harriet Burns, during her time building Disneyland in the1950s.
Inspired by a collection of memoirs compiled by Harriet's daughter Pam, and further developed with input from Harriet's family and friends, the script is a faithful retelling of Harriet's life and Disneyland's birth.
I've been researching Harriet for the past two years, writing and rewriting the script with each new discovery. I've interviewed Harriet's family, friends, and colleagues, including notable Disney Imagineers Rolly Crump and Jim Sarno and Disney historian Scott Wolf.
This high-action comedy follows three friends on a cross country roadtrip as they try to escape an undead apocalypse in a world where the only thing powerful enough to stop the Zombies is weed.
Based on an original idea from Brian Levin and written remotely during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic (god I hope that sentence ages well), collaborating on this epic script was a wildly fun and unique opportunity. Packed with crazy characters, insane action sequences, and so much weed, High or Die is a ridiculous romp
from start to finish.
The script is currently shopping to multiple networks.
When a kind and an unintelligent teenager accidentally develops telekinetic powers, he lands a summer job as the world's dumbest superhero for a definitely not evil agency.
This over the top comedy has placed in multiple competitions, was ranked #1 in Family Half Hour on Coverfly, and can be found on The Red List.
